Visitor's Guide

We're glad you're here!

Welcome to St. Stephen's!

We're a church on a mission to know Christ and make Christ known to others.

And we're glad you're here.

It's not always easy trying to find a church or faith community. It can be intimidating even to walk in the door for the first time! We hope this guide for your first visit will answer questions you might have as well as introduce you to St. Stephen's as an inclusive, welcoming, Episcopal community.

How to get here

St. Stephen's Episcopal Church is located at 2206 North Cole Road in Boise. We have a large parking lot on the corner of Cole and El Caballo, with entrances off both roads. When you arrive, you'll see two entrances into the building -- one for the Church and one for the Offices. On a Sunday, feel free to use either entrance!

Sunday Worship

Take a tour of our sanctuary!

Our worship services are at 8:00am and 10:30am on Sunday mornings. 8:00am is a mostly quiet, spoken service while 10:30am features much more music and our choir during the program year.

St. Stephen's is an Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Idaho. You can expect our worship to follow a set liturgy with variable readings and hymns. Every service at St. Stephen's will have readings from scripture, prayers from the Book of Common Prayer, a sermon from our rector, and Holy Communion.

As you enter the sanctuary, you'll find a bulletin for the service with everything you'll need for worship (including announcements and a weekly calendar). And, following each service, we hope you'll join us for a cup of coffee and conversation -- we'd love to get to know you and hear your story!

What else happens on Sunday mornings?

There's usually a lot happening at St. Stephen's on a Sunday morning! We have coffee hour and fellowship together following each worship service (usually around 9:00am and 11:45am). Book studies and Sunday Forums are in the Davis Common Room at 9:30am. Children and youth participate in worship as acolytes, musicians, or process to our Episcopals! Sunday School.
