2023 Lent Series: A Covenantal Life

A Covenantal Life

St. Stephen's 2023 Lent Series

Join us each Wednesday evening in March for a potluck soup and bread dinner, and conversations, practices, and activities based on our Baptismal Covenant.

Wednesday March 1st: Believe

What do Christians believe, and why? Do we have to agree on these beliefs? Are there "non-negotiables" in Christian belief, or things that followers of Christ must believe? Join us for an up-tempo series of questions and answers in small groups!

Wednesday March 8th: Repent

What does it mean to repent of our sins? If this is a thought or conversation that makes us uncomfortable, we might explore what these words mean in our lives while trying some short spiritual practices that might help us engage this important Lenten idea.

Wednesday March 15th: Proclaim

If the proclamation of the Gospel only depended on you, what would you do? Who would you tell? What would you say?

Wednesday March 22nd: Serve

This night will feature St. Stephen's newest Outreach ministry: Mats for the Unhoused. We'll continue to make more plastic yarn and weave new mats together.

Wednesday March 29th: Strive

Our last session will focus on going back into the world and striving for justice and peace. Why is "justice" such a difficult word in our culture today? How can we reclaim it as something we are called to model and seek in our lives?
