The Very Rev. Dennis J. Reid began serving as rector of St. Stephen's in May of 2022. A native Pennsylvanian, Dennis has served parishes in the dioceses of Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Bethlehem, and has earned a BA in History from Wake Forest University and an MDiv from Virginia Theological Seminary.
Dennis has come to have a deep appreciation for Boise over the last decade; he and his wife, Megan, were married at St. Michael’s Cathedral and, when living on the east coast, made many trips to Idaho to visit Megan’s family.
Dennis is thrilled to have the opportunity now to call Boise home and serve alongside the good people of St. Stephen’s. Dennis, Megan, and their two children -- whom you will often find making a joyful noise throughout the 10:30am service -- are grateful for the warm welcome they've received, and they're excited to live into St. Stephen's mission to know Christ and make Christ known.
In addition, Dennis serves as a Regional Missioner for the Episcopal Diocese of Idaho. In 2023, Dennis will begin a three year term on the diocesan Commission on Ministry, and he will represent the diocese at the General Convention of the Episcopal Church in 2024.
In his leisure time, Dennis enjoys reading, hiking and biking around Boise, playing and listening to music, and a good game of chess -- come by the office any time for a game!

They are excited to see where this new ministry leads.
