Thirdspace Quartet make their second visit to St. Stephen's Episcopal Church to offer a chamber music concert benefitting St. Stephen's James and Alberta Davis Education Fund. The concert will be held on Sunday November 10th at 4pm and is free to attend! A free-will offering will be taken during the event to benefit the Davis Education Fund.
Thirdspace Quartet convened in the Fall of 2021 with the idea of building an ensemble that is just as committed to exploring the vast landscape of the string quartet repertoire as it is to contributing to its chosen community. Thirdspace Quartet (formerly known as Treasure Valley String Quartet) debuted in January 2022 in Boise, Idaho. Through world-class concert experiences, distinctive collaboration, and unique educational programs, Thirdspace Quartet cultivates a community-powered chamber music scene in Boise.
The James & Alberta Davis Education Fund has been a ministry of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church for over 25 years. We believe every child deserves an education, and we see the support of our community’s children as part of our responsibility as God’s people. Named in honor of our founding priest and his wife, the Davis Education Fund regularly gives funding to students, teachers, and programs throughout the Boise School District to provide clothing, food and snacks, hygiene supplies, car seats, swim lessons, driver’s education courses, and a variety of other needs. In 2023, The Davis Education Fund donated $10,000 to the Interfaith Sanctuary Capital Project, specifically to fund an Early Education classroom. Additionally, in the 2022-23 school year, over $7,000 was given to fund other needs throughout the school district.
We're a church on a mission to know Christ and make Christ known to others.
